The school has strong educational programs including laboratories equipped with the latest computing facilities, thereby providing students with rewarding educational experiences. The school participates in many government-funded programs such as ‘BK21’ a nurturing program for graduate education, 'ITC' a global human resources development center for IT convergence, and 'Seoul Accord' a multi-lateral mutual-recognition agreement among agencies responsible for accreditation or recognition of tertiary-level computing and IT-related qualifications.

Programs

The undergraduate program in the School of Computer Science and Engineering is a challenging one which attracts our university's best students. Every year, many of these students win scholarship awards. The undergraduate program consists of three important tracks: Network Systems, Media Engineering, and Information Engineering. The program begins with a thorough background in the fundamentals of computer programming, computer architecture, data structures and file processing. Project objected courses are offered during the early part of this program to provide students with theory and practice. At more advanced levels, subjects include algorithm design, computer modeling, software engineering, compilers, operating systems, internet and data communication, embedded systems, computer graphics, and multimedia systems. Detailed program and course information can be obtained from the department website.
The school offers two different Graduate Studies programs leading to the degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy. There are currently approximately 90 students enrolled in the graduate programs in our school and they are being trained to be higher professionals in the IT field.
